2026 M.A.D.D. STEM Program - Acewall Scholars
This video highlights the ACEWALL SCHOLARS M.A.D.D. STEM SCIENTISTS PROGRAM, where children explore water science through active participation. Ever wondered what happens when you give a 3rd grader a scalpel and a compass?
🧐 Welcome to the M.A.D.D Scientist STEP Program 2025, where the next generation of surgeons and explorers just took over!
This year, Acewall Scholars went BEYOND the classroom. We traded textbooks for real-world thrills:
🩺 Precision Under Pressure: Our campers stepped into the OR! From Dissections & Surgeries to mastering the Doctor’s Diagnosis, these rising stars explored anatomy like true medical professionals.
🌿 Into the Wild: We swapped lab coats for hiking gear during our Jungle Trip. From wildlife discovery to fostering a deep Nature Love, we explored the science of the great outdoors.
🚀 Total STEM Immersion: Between performing "surgery" and navigating the jungle, we still found time for Rocket Launches, Robotics/AI, and Aviation!
Whether they were Rising 3rd-9th Graders (Campers) or our 10th Grade STEM Ambassadors, everyone pushed the boundaries of what’s possible.

💥 From DIY Flares to Museum Stairs: Relive the 2024 M.A.D.D. Scientist Saga!
Ever seen a middle schooler master the "Chemistry of Delicious"? 🍓 Or turn a simple afternoon into a tactical smoke flare demo? Welcome to the highlight reel of the M.A.D.D. Scientist STEP Program 2024, where we proved that science isn't just in books—it’s in the air, in the kitchen, and definitely in the clouds!
Last year, our Acewall Scholars didn't just study science; they lived it through Reaction, Engineering, and Exploration:
🧪 The Lab & The Kitchen: We blurred the lines between scientist and chef! From mastering the Chemistry of Pickling to settling the ultimate debate—Jam vs. Jelly—our campers explored molecular gastronomy. We even dove into the art of Mixology (the non-alcoholic kind, of course!) and created giant Dry Ice Bubbles.
🚀 High-Flying Engineering: We took to the skies with DIY Smoke Flares and precision-engineered Paper Helicopters. If it could smoke, spin, or fly, our scholars were behind the controls.
🏛️ Expeditions in Excellence: We didn't stay cooped up! We took over the Science Museum of Virginia, explored future career paths at Reynolds Community College, and burned off that extra kinetic energy at Surge Adventure Park.
From our youngest explorers to our 10th-grade STEM Ambassadors, 2024 was a masterclass in curiosity and "controlled" chaos.
